Frequently Asked Questions
Who should have LED light therapy? LED light therapy will trigger your body’s natural cell processes to accelerate rejuvenation and repair of the skin. It’s recommended for skin rejuvenation, sun damage, acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, sensitive and inflammatory conditions, wound healing and scarring as well as anyone looking to restore skin’s radiance.
What's the benefits? LED light therapy calms any areas of irritation and it’s also brilliant at brightening the skin. When used consistently, over time, LED lights are thought to penetrate your skin at different depths and cause various reactions in your skin, such as fighting acne-causing bacteria, plumping skin and reducing wrinkles. A course of treatments offers corrective and long-lasting results, although you’ll be able to see a difference after the first session. Light therapy is also particularly calming, so you’ll leave feeling refreshed.
What does the treatment involve? Our Quad-Glow system can be used to offer 30 or 60 minutes of LED therapy as a standalone treatment or in combination with existing Definir dermaplaning or spa facial treatments to enhance the overall results.
How does LED light therapy work? When light is broken down into the separate colours which combine to give white sunlight, namely red, green, blue and yellow, it is to isolate the individual benefits each constituent colour brings, from reviving skin to boosting the lymphatic system. We use the natural power of light with our innovative Neo Elegance Quad-Glow system - a safe, effective and non-invasive treatment which is suitable for all skin types and skin conditions. Our Quad Glow technology breaks up light into its four wavelengths, each using LED technology optimised at the correct energy output, light intensity and dose to target the skin cells and activate the photobiomodulation process.
What does RED light therapy do? Red is for Revival, penetrates 8-10mm in the skin in order to increase collagen synthesis by stimulating the fibroblasts found within the dermis. This leads to the production of collagen and elastin, which can help reduce fine lines, as well as: Improve blood circulation; Increase hydration naturally; Improve skin tone and texture and even heal the skin following invasive treatments or injectables.
What does BLUE light therapy do? Our blue mode is the purifying mode, penetrating 2-4mm. Blue LED has antibacterial properties, meaning it can: Reduce acne breakouts; Prevent future breakouts; Regulate sebum production.
What does GREEN light therapy do? Green is serene, bringing a soothing treatment. This offers a calming effect, also helping to reduce hyperpigmentation and fade the appearance of freckles and age spots, revealing a brighter and more even complexion.
What does YELLOW light therapy do? Yellow, meanwhile, is our lymphatic mode, which helps to drain the lymphatic system and flush waste from the skin. It works to reduce photo damage, calm skin and it improves oxygenation and blood circulation.
